THE DELIVERY APPROACH

Working governance. Not a shelf of policies.

Choose a concrete problem, make the decisions visible and prove that the routine can be maintained by the people who use it.

An engraved landscape with symbolic charts and a guiding light; a metaphor for decision context, not measured results.
CONCEPTUAL ENGRAVING / DATAGOVERNANCE.CA
01 / DISCOVER

Define the real decision.

Agree the sponsor, domain, desired outcome and access boundaries. Keep evidence, assumptions and unresolved questions separate.

02 / BUILD

Implement a useful pilot.

Design and run the agreed workflow with the people responsible for it. Record tests, exceptions and decisions before expanding the scope.

03 / HAND OVER

Make it maintainable.

Put internal owners in the lead. Leave usable artefacts, an escalation route and a review cadence—not an unexplained score or an indefinite dependency.

A written scope before delivery

Each engagement should identify its contracting party, named delivery roles, objectives, boundaries, milestones, fee, dependencies and acceptance criteria. Technical access, data processing and confidentiality arrangements need to be agreed before information moves or changes are made.

Evidence with an honest status

A policy can be documented without being implemented. A stakeholder can report a control without showing how it operates. Our working materials distinguish observed evidence, reported practice and unresolved questions. Limited coverage remains limited coverage.

People keep the decision authority

Consulting support does not appoint your executive sponsor or transfer statutory responsibilities. Your authorised internal roles approve business decisions and accept risks. Legal interpretation, formal assurance, certification and specialist tests need the right separately engaged professionals.

Useful materials, in usable formats

We favour accessible registers, clear workflow descriptions and documentation your team can maintain. Tools are considered against actual requirements, integration access and ownership—not presented as a prerequisite for starting governance.

A SMALLER, CLEARER FIRST STEP

Bring a problem.
Leave with a brief.

Choose one decision, name the people involved and set an evidence boundary before anyone asks for your data.

Prepare your project brief
01

Choose the decision

Name the report, workflow or use case that needs to work better.

02

Set the boundary

Identify the owner, allowed evidence and important exclusions.

03

Define useful completion

Agree what a colleague should be able to repeat or verify.
